Bjarni Snæbjörnsson is an Icelandic actor and writer working across film and television, known for his emotional range and compelling screen presence. He has appeared in a variety of TV series, films, and commercials, moving seamlessly between drama and comedy.

Alongside his screen work, Bjarni has built a dynamic stage career since graduating with a BFA in Acting from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2007. His theatre work spans classical texts, new writing, musicals, and devised performance.

He is a founding member of Perplex Theatre Company, where he co-created and starred in the acclaimed one-man musical Good Morning Faggi. The show ran for two years in Iceland and at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, earning critical praise, award nominations, and a national broadcast on RÚV as a TV special.

A trained singer, Bjarni performs regularly in concerts and musical theatre, including collaborations with the North Iceland Symphony Orchestra, and co-produces the concert series Musical Styles.

He is also the author of Mennska, an autobiographical work exploring queer identity in contemporary Iceland, for which he received the 2026 Storytel Audiobook Award for both writing and narration.

Bjarni holds a BA in English and an MA in Arts Education. He speaks fluent English and conversational French.
